Inflammatory and bone biomarkers/composites as a predictive tool for clinical characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis patients

چکیده
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is related to alterations in different inflammatory and connective tissue biomarkers. The diagnostic values the factors affecting these biomarkers are conflicting. In present study, a bone-related composite (B-composite), made from z-score of stromelysin-1 (MMP3), colony-stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), osteopontin (OPN), I-composite, reflecting immune activation, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα), interferon-γ (INFγ), vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF) were examined RA patients. measured by ELISA technique 102 patients 58 age-matched healthy control subjects. Serum MMP3, TNFα, IFNγ, CSF2 showed significant elevation Multivariate general linear model (GLM) analysis revealed high effect diagnosis on biomarkers' level (partial η2 = 0.415). Duration disease significantly associated with VEGF, OPN, B-composite negatively correlated TNFα. CRP. A fraction DAS28 score variance can be explained regression zlnINFγ. CRP was zlnOPN B-composite. More than half anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) variation serum MMP3 I-composite. top 3 sensitive predictors for INFγ, duration At same time, I-composite ACPA level. biomarker composites have potential use as characteristic

Comparing bone mineral density in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis
Background: Changes in patients’ bone mineral density (BMD) is one of the problems in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which can be due to the use of corticosteroid drugs to reduce patients' symptoms or due to the aging process in patients. In this study, we decided to compare BMD in patients with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: This study as a cross-sectional descrip...
متن کاملInvestigating Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictive Marker of Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Background and purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease characterized by synovitis, inflammation, and joint destruction that if not well controlled can destroy cartilage, bone, ligaments and tendons, and in some cases cause disability. The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible role of the ratio of neutrophil-lymphocyte (NLR) as an inflammatory mar...
متن کاملA Retrospective Study on Clinical Characteristics of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients
To study the clinical characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients attending the rheumatology unit in a private hospital. The demographic characteristics, laboratory parameters, comorbidities, articular manifestations and pattern of prescriptions were studied from the case records . A total of 75 RA patients were studied. Female preponderance was observed and the ratio was found to be ...

BACKGROUND Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune inflammatory disease, wherein late diagnosis and treatment leads to deformities and disability. OBJECTIVE The aim of the study was to assess and describe the clinical and immunological characteristics, activity status of the disease, and functional capacity in a cohort of Ecuadorian patients with RA. METHODS This is a cross-secti...
متن کاملbone densitometry in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
osteoporosis (op) is a frequent complication of rheumatoid arthritis (ra) and longitudinal studies have documented increased rate of bone loss in ra patients. to determine the frequency of low bone mass as well as the influence of disease duration and corticosteroid use on bone mass in patients with ra, 88 patients with ra and 112 age matched controls were studied. bone densitometry was perform...
